This Privacy Policy explains how Build My Voice (“we”) collects, uses, and protects your information. This is a draft pending legal review.

Data we collect

• Account data — your name, email address, and authentication records.
• Writing samples — the text you upload or paste to build a voice profile. This is the core data the product is built around.
• Generated content and prompts — the drafts you generate and the instructions you provide.
• Workspace and usage data — workspaces, personas, and operational metadata needed to run the Service.

How we use your data

We use your writing samples and prompts solely to provide the Service: analyzing your voice, building your voice profile, and generating content in that voice. We use account and usage data to operate, secure, and improve the Service. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your writing samples to train shared or third-party foundation models.

Sub-processors

We rely on a small number of vendors to operate the Service, including:

• OpenAI — processes prompts and writing samples to generate analysis and content. Data sent to the model API is processed to return results for your request.
• Stripe — processes payments and stores billing information.
• Cloud hosting, database, and email providers — host the application and deliver transactional email.

Storage and security

Your data is stored in our database and object storage. Sensitive credentials (such as third-party integration keys) are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM. Access is restricted and transmitted over encrypted connections.

Data retention

We retain your data while your account is active. Deleted content is removed within a reasonable period, and account deletion triggers removal of your personal data as described below.

Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (including under the GDPR and CCPA), you may have rights to access, export, correct, or delete your personal data. You can:

• Export your data from your account settings (Account → Your data).
• Delete your account from your account settings. Deletion removes your personal data and content. Workspaces you own that have other members will have ownership transferred to another member rather than deleted, so shared work is preserved.

Cookies

We use first-party, essential cookies required to keep you signed in and operate the Service. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
